Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
8 ounces cream cheese
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 cups milk
1 cup Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Corn starch slurry to thicken if desired
Directions
- Melt butter and cream cheese together in a medium saucepan. Add milk a little at a time stirring until creamy.
- Stir in pepper and garlic powder.
- Gradually whisk in milk a little at a time until the mixture becomes smooth.
- Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Cook and stir for 2-3 more minutes.
- Serve over pasta.
Notes
- If you want the sauce more thick, make a cornstarch slurry with 1-2 tablespoons water, and 1 tablespoon cornstarch. Gradually stir in to sauce and cook until sauce is thickened.
