These meatballs are delicious!  The flavor is amazing; sweet and tangy!  Double batches work great.

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

  • 3/4 cup GF oats

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Dash of pepper

  • 1 teaspoon GF Worcestershire sauce

  • Sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard

  • 1/4 cup GF barbecue sauce

  • 1 teaspoon GF Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350º. 
  • Make the sauce by combining all the ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Pour into a small saucepan and cook until brown sugar is dissolved.
  • Combine all the meatball ingredients: ground beef, oats, eggs, onion, milk, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well with gloved hands.
  • Form into about 12 balls, each about 2 inches in diameter.  Place in casserole dish.  Cover with sauce.
  • Bake at 350º for about 30 minutes.
